I was actually in the plaza for Kitty's Fish & Chips next door and the M-F Weekday Lunch Specials from Pep's Sub & Pizza Shack piqued my curiosity. Since I had placed an already big order next door, I opted to try the #1 Personal Pizza $6.99 - I mean, who does NOT love pizza? The pepperoni were evenly placed (with care) on the personal pizza, and they included a packet of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. One bite was all it took... the dough, the sauce, and the crispy pepperoni is already above a chain pizza joint. The personal pizza was baked to perfection, nothing overburnt or under. Next time I will be back for a regular-sized pizza and other items on the menu! The interior is a bit smaller than I expected, but it sure does feel cozy. Small mom and pop, support local businesses! There was plenty of parking during the day, besides most people being at the gym next door. Overall, a great first experience!
Missy was the waitress and bartender the night we went. She's a doll. She truly makes you feel welcome. The whole place is filled with regulars, from what it looked like to us. Everyone greeted each other as old friends do. The husband had the meatball sausage sandwich and I had the sausage and pepper's sandwich. We really liked the food. For all the years this place has been here and this was the first time visiting. We will definitely be back, we want to try the pizza next time. It was nice meeting you Missy and thank you for your hospitality. See you soon.

UUHH-MAZE-ING!!!!! If you want to support a local pizza place, this is IT! Pizza is fresh and the service is great! Lisa took such great care of us! You are able to go in for a quick bite and grab a pitcher of beer and guaranteed good food and beer! I would recommend to anyone who lives local or in the area!

Local pizza place that's been here since the 70's under different names. Was a Straw Hat originally, they still have the same ovens! Solid medium crust pizza, the cheese and pepperoni, not too greasy, good flavor. Excellent homemade Italian dressing on the salad. Garlic bread, closer to garlic toast. Massive, massive mugs of beer. Insanely loud during games, and I'm half deaf from being a woodshop teacher. Total neighborhood place, everybody knows everybody else. Pretty solid, but not exceptional.
This place is a sleeper. I was at Rite Aid getting my booster and was hungry, saw this little spot and thought I'd grab a sandwich for me and the Family. I ordered a turkey and Swiss a nervous wreck and a barbecue beef. The meat was super fresh the rolls were super soft, and the kitchen was really clean. When I ordered I peaked back there and everything was in order. My whole family and I agreed we're coming back.
